HOUSTON --
A teenager was in court Wednesday, accused of running over a woman in northwest Harris County and killing her dog. Douglas Coleman, 18 is facing a felony charge for an accident involving an injury. Investigators say he hit Sharon Kiel off Kilrenny on Friday night after running a stop sign. They say he kept going.
Kiel suffered broken bones and a torn aorta in the crash, and her dog was killed.
Deputies arrested Coleman after tracing pieces of the vehicle that were found at the scene.
