The Town Talk reports the accident around 3:15 p.m. Monday
Sgt. Bruce Fairbanks said the teenager was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead at 3:34 p.m.
Fairbanks said police were not releasing the name of the victim.
The driver of the SUV was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
