The break happened on Sakowitz near Hershe in the Fifth Ward.
The water main break was reported to the city of Houston around 9pm Friday. Neighbors tell us the water was rising into their yards by 11:30pm.
There are no reports of water in homes.
Crews began working to fix the leak Saturday morning.
