It started around 2am when a West University police officer investigated a suspicious car. As soon as his lights turned on the car took off. He turned to the West Loop and then Highway 290 -- all while driving the wrong way and ramming into several police cars.
Police chased him as he took the Tidwell exit backwards and tried to turn onto Windfern. That's where the driver lost control and crashed.
The man then ran on foot right to the northwest Houston police substation where he was tackled to the ground and arrested.
