It happened in front of a day care in the 16000 block of North Eldridge Parkway. According to constables, a woman and her boyfriend were having an argument as they pulled up.
The woman got out of the vehicle, along with her two-year-old child. Investigators say the boyfriend began to drive off and appears to have accidentally struck the woman and child.
The woman and her child were taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
The boyfriend did stop and speak with investigators.
