The crash forced police to shut down all of Eldridge Parkway near Westheimer around 1pm Wednesday afternoon. HPD says an officer was heading to a call with a lights and siren on when a car t-boned the officer's cruiser at the intersection.
The civilian was taken to West Houston Hospital. The officer was not hurt.
Police did not have details about two other vehicles involved in the accident.
