An appeals court has affirmed the conviction for a former judge.

Judge Donald Jackson, who used to be judge of Harris County Criminal Court at law No. 3, was convicted of official oppression in 2009. A woman said Jackson offered to help with her drunk driving case if she had sex with him.

Jackson was sentenced to 30 days in jail and two years probation. He later resigned.

Jackson's next step would be to appeal to the Texas Supreme Court.
