The chase ended late last night on Stanford near Bridgeland in northwest Houston. Police say an officer saw a driver run a red light on Clay Road at Eldridge. He attempted to pull the driver over, but he took off eastbound on Clay.
Police followed the man to a neighborhood on Clay and Shadowdale, then asked for a helicopter and backup. They say the driver abandoned the car and fled on foot.
