Investigators now have charged Kenneth Ray Nelms, Jr. with capital murder. Nelms, 19, is already behind bars for unrelated robbery charges.
Police say Nelms was identified through witness statements and he was charged on Monday.

HOUSTON
It happened June 17 on Kress near Crane Street in northeast Houston. Officers arrived and found the victim Terrance Nelson, 28, dead of a gunshot wound. Police say his car was missing.
