The accident happened just after 9am when investigators say two vehicles were taking the exit. They say one was traveling at a high rate of speed and appeared to have lost control. That vehicle hit and knocked over a caution light, bounced off the concrete divider and hit a red SUV, causing it to flip over.
The man driving the SUV died at the scene. The passenger in that car, who investigators say is the deceased man's wife, will be OK.
Investigators say the driver of the vehicle that caused the wreck didn't have a driver's license or insurance. He's now facing charges, but at this point, it's not clear as to which ones or how many.
The northbound feeder road next to the exit ramp is down to one lane. The exit ramp is shut down.
