Neglected convenience store catches fire

A derelict convenience store caught fire in southwest Houston last night.

More than 70 firefighters responded to the fire on Hillcroft. The second floor of the vacant store collapsed, but firefighters were able to get flames under control in an hour. They stayed on scene to monitor hot spots.

Arson detectives are investigating the cause of the fire. No one was hurt.
