Young sluggers were at Pasadena's city council meeting last night, asking the city to rebuild a park damaged by vandals.

The field house at Strawberry Park was destroyed by a fire set on purpose. The league was also robbed and lost roughly $50,000 of equipment.

"We've lost everything we have as a league and now we need help," said Pasadena Pee Wee Coach Robert Bennett. "We need the city to do their part and rebuild."

The league says the city asked them to move to a smaller field three miles away. But the league says that move would be inconvenient and force them to cut games.

Council members promised to try and do the best they could for the city's citizens.
