Male suspected in two recent robberies

HOUSTON

At about 10:30am Tuesday,Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to the Delis Beauty Salon in the 15100 block of Bissonnet in the Houston area of the county. A Hispanic male, estimated to be in his late teens or early 20s, had entered the store brandishing a handgun and demanded cash.

Authorities say the suspect told the store owner and an employee to get into one of the rooms in the back of the store, and made a male customer get into the bathroom. The suspect then retrieved one of the female employees and made her open the cash drawer. The suspect got away with money from the drawer as well as money from an employee's purse.

The suspect is described as a young Hispanic male, about 5-feet, 6-inches tall and thin. His hair is cut in a mohawk style. He was wearing a black t-shirt, skinny jeans, tennis shoes and a baseball cap. Employees said the suspect had visited the shop earlier, stating he would return with his brothers to get their hair cut.

The same man is suspected of robbing a Cricket cellular phone store on Highway 6 South on Friday, September 30. That robbery occurred at about 1:45pm and the suspect entered the store, ordered the clerk to open the cash register and forced her to the back of the store. His clothes and physical description are the same.
