Officers say janitors found one of 35-year-old Troy Baumgardner's legs dangling through a hole in the roof at a cellphone store in Southeast Fresno on Monday night.
Seconds later, they say, he fell through the ceiling.
Officers say Baumgardner ran off as one of the janitors called police, but they say he was caught a few minutes later.
Fresno police say Baumgardner is a familiar face to their investigators. He was convicted last year for intentionally burning down a Perko's restaurant in North Fresno back in 2008.
