Shots fired on Victoria College campus

Shots have been fired at Victoria College in Victoria, Texas, but no students have been injured.

According to the Victoria Police Department, shots were fired at Victoria College at about 4:30pm. No one was injured, but the campus was placed on lockdown until 5:10pm, keeping students inside classrooms.

Students received a text that read, "Shots fired on VC campus. Shots have been fired on the Victoria College main campus. All buildings should be locked and all individuals on campus should stay inside their current location. Law enforcement officers are on site."

A subject is in custody. No further details about the shooting are available at this time.
