It happened around noon Saturday at Garden City Apartments in the 9600 block of W. Montgomery Rd. near W. Gulf Bank Rd. in Acres Homes.
A relative of the victim tells us he was walking upstairs to pick up his child for a visit when he was shot from the parking lot.
The man collapsed and died in the stairwell. The shooter drove away.
Police are interviewing witnesses for more information. The victim's identity has not been released.
