The train went off the track on Highway 6 near Freddiesville around 8pm. Several cars derailed and two tankers overturned and leaked ethanol. The fuel is flammable, so about 40 to 50 families south of Highway 6 were told to leave their neighborhood.
Authorities hope to have the highway open in time for the morning drive.
