Pastor's nephew accused of 'sexting' underage girl

HOUSTON

Medger Chauncey Duckens, 43, is charged with online solicitation of a minor. According to court documents, Duckens works as a sound technician at a southwest Houston church and he met the 15-year-old girl while she worked in the sound room at the church.

The girl told authorities that Duckens kissed her and fondled her on numerous occasions and that he sent her multiple text messages of a sexual nature from February through April 2011, court documents state. She also said Duckens asked her for a nude picture and that she sent a photo of herself in her bra and panties to him. Court document go on to say the girl said Duckens then became more aggressive in his sexual advances and started to blackmail her.

According to court documents, police analyzed both Duckens and the girl's phone and discovered many texts with a sexual connotation including, "If just this 1 time I could get that butt pic w/ or w/o da thong, I could look at it all da way 2 work," and "If u promise 2 stay cool w/ me, I will teach you all about the master'n tricks of sex u don't know."

The girl told investigators that she disclosed the abuse because she was tired of it. Police say she picked Duckens out of a photo array.

Court documents state that Duckens told police that the phone number attached to the lewd texts was his phone number and had been for 10 years and that the usage on the phone was his usage. Duckens told investigators that the girl had a romantic crush on him and that the exchanges between the two became "heated" and that eventually he stopped the conversations with the girl because they were not appropriate, court documents state.

Investigators say Duckens told them he did not recall the content of the text messages, but stated, "I can't deny that if that's on the phone."

Bond is set at $10,000 in this case.
