Express your artistic side with these free offerings

HOUSTON The Miller Outdoor Theater is always a great place to spend an evening after the sun goes down. Friday at 8pm, the Dominic Walsh Dance Theater will perform. The Dominic Walsh Dance Theater is one of this country's leading contemporary ballet companies. Then Saturday night at the Miller Outdoor Theater from 8-10pm, it's a tribute to the big band era. Free tickets are available at the Miller Outdoor Theater box office the day of the performance between the hours of 10:30am and 1:00pm. As always, it's open seating on the hill.

If you'll be in Galveston this Saturday, be sure to check out the ArtWalk located in the heart of Galveston's historic district. For over 20 years the Galveston Arts Center has organized and produced ArtWalk. The event takes place in existing galleries and non-profit spaces as well as restaurants and retail stores. The ArtWalk runs from 5pm to 9pm.

Head to the theater district open house this Sunday for the 18th Annual Capital One Bank Theater District Open House. Alley Theater, Hobby Center, Jones Hall and Wortham Theater Center swing their doors wide open for guests to enjoy live performances, meet-and-greets with costumed performers, free rides on the Capital One Bank trolley. The event is Sunday from noon until 4pm.

Chick-fil-A is giving away free breakfast September 6-10! The catch is you will have to make your breakfast reservation online on Monday, August 29. Once you register, you can pick your time and the restaurant of your choice. If you need some motivation to get out and exercise, don't forget Discovery Green has several classes each week to get you moving. From yoga to salsa classes and Zumba classes, there is something for everyone. You must be at least 18 years old to participate. No pre-registration is necessary but you will need to sign an exercise release form upon arrival.
