Motorcyclist killed in crash in north Houston

HOUSTON

Police say the rider was headed north on I-45 toward the 610 North Loop Tuesday night when he hit the curb that divides the Loop going west and east and that caused him to crash.

A witness said the motorcyclist may have tried to change direction at the last second.

According to police, the motorcycle then flipped and the victim, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected. Police say they found the man lying on the exit ramp.

The male victim, 50, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
