Police seek ID of woman found dead in N. Houston

HOUSTON

The woman's body was discovered around 4:15pm on Friday by a security guard patrolling a parking lot in the 600 block of North Sam Houston Parkway East, according to police. The victim did not have identification on her and is described only as a black female with distinct lavender-colored fingernails with two gold-striped accents on each nail.

There were signs of trauma on her body, but a cause of death is pending an autopsy.

Police say the woman was found wrapped in two blankets. The first blanket has a two-tone blue background with multiple large images of cartoons Scooby-Doo and Shaggy and the words "Scooby-Doo" printed in large blue letters on a gold background across the border of the blanket.

The second blanket is a two-sided comforter with small flowers evenly spaced on one side, and pink, white and tan floral designs on the other.

Anyone with information on the victim's identity or in the investigation is urged to contact the Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.
