A driver who was trying to make a U-turn on Kirby near the Southwest Freeway apparently didn't notice newly-poured concrete and drove right into it. Crews in the area had been widening the road and laid new concrete over sewer lines.
The stuck car caused a traffic mess in the already-congested area for about half an hour. Crews brought in a flatbed tow truck to pull the car out.
