The cameras were turned off last November after Houston voters opposed them. But a federal judge said the election was invalid. Mayor Annise Parker turned the cameras back on to limit damages due to breach of contract with ATS, the camera's operators.
Drivers caught running a red light at any of the 70 intersections throughout the city face a $75 fine per violation.
