According to the League City Police Department, the incident began as a family disturbance.
Police were called Sunday night to a home in the 2600 block of Concord Circle in South Shore Harbour. That's where officials said a man threatened to kill himself and a woman who lives in the home.
The two got into a fight and the woman was able to get free and get out of the house, police said.
Investigators said the man barricaded himself inside for about 20 minutes. He ended up surrendering without incident. No injuries were reported and no weapons were found.
The suspect's name has not been released. Charges against him are pending.
