Houston bans panhandlers from restaurant patios

HOUSTON

City Council passed an ordinance on Wednesday that bans panhandling within 8 feet of an outdoor restaurant patio.

The city already has an ordinance against aggressive panhandling outside ATMs, gas pumps and transit facilities.
