Man accused of sexually assaulting two girls

MISSOURI CITY, TX Until Monday the suspect lived in a house on a quiet street in Missouri City. He had been an armed security guard, according to police. But now he is in jail. He turned himself in on Monday, accused of two separate sexual assaults of young girls.

William Washington, 27, is in jail and his neighbors are relieved he isn't home.

"There's a lot of kids on this street," said neighbor Rick DeWizette. "This is, like, a family neighborhood, you know. We don't play like that."

In January, Washington was charged with sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl who was said to be homeless. He was out on bond on that charge.

Last month Washington was accused of assaulting a 12-year-old girl. He allegedly posed in text messages as a 14-year-old boy.

"Just random girls she knew said, 'Hey, I know this 14-year-old,'" explained Donna Quackenbush with the Missouri City Police Department.

On July 7, according to court documents, Washington allegedly met the girl and took her to his house.

"Her friends encouraged her to go, thinking, oh, it's just a boy, he just wants to go watch TV," Quackenbush said.

Instead he is accused of assaulting the girl, then taking her back to her apartment complex, where police were called. Washington was charged three weeks later.

Washington was to appear in court Tuesday on the first charge. He was in court, but it was to have his bond revoked.

Anyone with any information about Washington, including those who may have been approached or had contact with him, is asked to call Missouri City police at 281-403-8700.
