With more triple-digit heat, ERCOT urges conservation

AUSTIN, TX Yesterday the state used a record 66,000 megawatts between 4pm and 5pm. The Electric Reliability Council of Texas, or ERCOT, expects more record usage throughout the week, so they are asking consumers and businesses to cut back on their electricity usage during peak hours.

That's between 3pm and 7pm.
