Fugitive wanted for murder in May killing

HOUSTON On Wednesday, May 25, 2011, Arister Brooks and three other witnesses went to the 2800 block of Wood River Drive in the Timber Lane subdivision. According to Crime Stoppers, Arister Brooks met with Watts. For unknown reasons, Watts reportedly pulled out a gun and pointed it at Brooks. Brooks entered a dark colored Oldsmobile and fled from Watts. Watts and two unknown black male suspects gave chase in a white colored vehicle. While chasing after Brooks, Watts allegedly fired his gun multiple times. Brooks suffered a gunshot wound to his back and was transported to the hospital, where he later died.

On June 2, the 185th District Court charged Watts with murder and issued a warrant for his arrest with a $100,000 bond. Watts is described as a black male, 5'9", weighing 155 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. His last known address was in the 6000 block of Bending Oaks in Houston.

Investigators are still looking for the identity of the two other black male suspects who were in the vehicle with Watts. Investigators believe Watts and the other two suspects are possibly associated with a criminal gang and should be considered armed and dangerous.
