Flames gutted a home in northwest Houston early this morning. Firefighters responded to the house fire on Moorhead near Tappenbeck after 4:30am Friday. When they arrived, heavy flames and clouds of smoke were coming from the home.

They did pull a second alarm. They also used a ladder truck to pour water on the flames. The fire has blocked traffic in the area.
