Alleged clerk killer charged with murder
HOUSTON
Albert Lynch, 24, has been charged with murder for the May killing of 20-year-old Salvador Maya.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office says on May 16 about 3:50am, Lynch entered a convenience store located in the 15300 block of Ella Blvd. Lynch wore a ski mask, dark blue coveralls and gloves. Lynch confronted the clerk, Maya, and shot him to death, according to investigators.
Lynch took an undetermined amount of cash before fleeing on foot. The crime was caught on surveillance camera video.
HCSO homicide investigators uncovered additional evidence that led to the charge.
Lynch has been in the Harris County Jail since May 27 on an unrelated charge.
