Mom, kids escape injury when car slams into home

HOUSTON The accident happened around 5am on Lakes of Bridgewater at Highland View in west Harris County. A 20-year-old man reportedly lost control of the car he was driving. The vehicle crashed through a fence and across a back yard, destroying a trampoline and air conditioner before slamming through the wall at the back of the house.

The accident impacted a guest bedroom where a mother was staying with her two small children. A witness said the woman and children had to be rescued from the room, but they were otherwise uninjured.

The driver was arrested. There's no word on what charges he may face.
