Houston named to list of Best Beer cities
HOUSTON
Houston just makes the grade for the 20 Best Beer cities in the nation. Travel + Leisure magazine ranks the Bayou City at number 20 on the list. Austin ws the only other Texas city to make the list, coming in at number 8.
The magazine credits the city's cuisine for the ranking, saying good beer is essential to wash down the some of nation's best burgers and barbecue.
Portland, Oregon was number 1, with Denver, Seattle, Providence, Rhode Island, and Portland, Maine rounding out the top five.
