Conroe ISD website hacked by 'Elmo'

CONROE, TX A hacker allegedly going by the name of 'Elmo' broke into Conroe ISD servers over the weekend and left behind some online graffiti. According to our Houston Community Newspaper partner, the Courier of Montgomery County, these were among the messages left behind by the cyber-intruder:

"Elmo has arrived" and in large bolded-typeface, 'Hacked.' Conroe ISD's website may be back up today.

It's been off-line since Sunday and that's affected all of the district's internal web and e-mail channels as well. The district does not believe the hacker got any personal information.
