NJ man arrested over stolen Picasso drawing

SAN FRANCISCO, CA Thirty-one-year-old Mark Lugo of Hoboken, N.J., was arrested Wednesday at a hotel in Napa. He's been booked on burglary, grand theft and drug charges, and his bail is $5 million.

Lugo is accused of taking a 1965 pencil-on-paper drawing titled "Tete de Femme" from the Weinstein Gallery and fleeing in a taxi Tuesday morning. Surveillance video from a nearby restaurant shows a man matching Lugo's description walking by with a piece of framed artwork under his arm.

Police Chief Greg Suhr said Thursday the drawing, valued at $275,000, was recovered without its frame.

Investigators believe Lugo was working alone and planning to ship the artwork to an unknown party.
