Police probing burglary suspect's in-custody death
HOUSTON
Police said the suspect burglarized two homes and a business along Holmes Road in southeast Houston.
A civilian caught the suspect and held him until police showed up. HPD told us when officers arrived, the suspect started hyperventilating and became unresponsive. He died at the hospital.
Police called this an in-custody death because the suspect died in the presence of an officer.
