Her husband was able to pull her ashore, but officials said she appeared to be below the surface for at least two or three minutes.
Emergency responders evaluated her and determined she had a substantial amount of salt water in her lungs.
She was airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital. Her condition was unavailable Sunday night.
