One injured in drive-by shooting at basketball court

HOUSTON Houston police are calling the incident a drive-by shooting. It happened around 9:45pm Saturday at Crain Park on Triola at Pella, near S. Gessner.

According to investigators, several people were playing basketball when an unknown dark-colored car pulled up to the curb on Pella. Someone in the car shot one time in the direction of the basketball court.

An 18-year-old man was struck in the neck, officials said. He was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in serious but stable condition.

Police are still looking for the gunman. Officers believe this was a random shooting.
