Juneteenth parade held in NW Houston

HOUSTON Children cheered as they drove by on trucks. Cheerleaders and bands from local schools also marched in the parade in the acres homes community.

Juneteenth, which is June 19th, commemorates the day Union Troops arrived in Texas to inform slaves they were free.
