Police seek suspect in attempted sex assault

HOUSTON The attack happened in the 5400 block of Pate at about 7pm on March 22. Police say a 15-year-old girl was walking home from school in the Shadydale neighborhood in northeast Houston when she was approached by a man who convinced her to get into his vehicle. The suspect then reportedly drove her to a secluded area near the intersection of Peachtree and Pate and demanded she perform a sex act on him.

The victim escaped from the suspect's pickup truck and fled to a nearby home. She was unhurt.

The suspect is described only as a black male in his early to mid 30s, between 5 feet 9 inches and 6 feet tall, with a skinny build. The suspect's vehicle is described as an unknown model four-door silver pickup truck.
