League City's city manager, asst. city manager resign
LEAGUE CITY, TX
City Manager Marcus Jahns announced he's resigning, along with an assistant city manager, and apparently no one saw it coming.
Jahns was League City's first city manager after voters approved a change to the form of government in May of last year. According to the city's spokeswoman, on Tuesday he told council members he agonized over his situation but just couldn't continue in his role anymore.
Also resigning is Assistant City Manager of Public Works Rich Oller.
These resignations come a month after a new mayor and three new council members were elected.
Jahns said his last day would be August 19. He has worked in or with city government, mostly in the San Antonio area, for 35 years.
