Interviews are now underway for Galveston's next police chief. And the city says the top choice could be picked by Monday.

The list has been cut down to the top 10 candidates and all are from Texas.

Current Galveston Police Department Chief Charles Wiley announced back in April that he plans to retire. His last day is supposed to be in July.

Officials say it's likely the new chief won't be brought on until Wiley leaves.
