Moody Gardens reopens Rainforest Pyramid
GALVESTON, TX
Moody Gardens spent $25 million renovating and expanding the rainforest exhibit area following Hurricane Ike.
The pyramid houses about 2,000 species of plants and wildlife from rainforests in Africa, Asia and the Americas.
The additions include a Mayan ruin exhibit to showcase the culture of people who rely on the rainforest for survival.
