School district officials say the seventh grade student had apparently climbed onto the roof to retrieve a binder. He appeared to be alone at the time of the incident.
Fort Bend ISD police are investigating this incident.
Boy jumps from middle school roof
HOUSTON
Fort Bend ISD spokesperson Nancy Porter tells Eyewitness News the 12-year-old boy jumped from the roof of Lake Olympia Middle School, a one-story building, around 8am Friday. He was reported to have non-life threatening injuries. As a precaution he was transported to Southwest Memorial-Hermann Hospital.
