Boy jumps from middle school roof

HOUSTON Fort Bend ISD spokesperson Nancy Porter tells Eyewitness News the 12-year-old boy jumped from the roof of Lake Olympia Middle School, a one-story building, around 8am Friday. He was reported to have non-life threatening injuries. As a precaution he was transported to Southwest Memorial-Hermann Hospital.

School district officials say the seventh grade student had apparently climbed onto the roof to retrieve a binder. He appeared to be alone at the time of the incident.
