League City asks residents to conserve water

A little bit of rainfall over the past few days is nowhere near the amount needed to pull us out of the drought, and now another local community is taking precautions.

League City is implementing a Stage One drought contingency plan and asking its residents to voluntarily conserve water. They also ask that residents only water their lawns between the hours of midnight and 5am.

The city is trying to avoid a Stage Two plan which would require mandatory water conservation, meaning violators would be fined.
