Driver crashes into pole, flees scene

HOUSTON

Houston police say around 4:45am Thursday the driver lost control and slammed into an electric pole at Long Point and Ridgecrest. The driver took off running. His passenger was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Police suspect alcohol was a factor, but won't know for sure until they find the driver.

The crash didn't cause any power outages.
