Texans gets a tad older in latest census figures

SAN ANTONIO, TX Nationwide, the median age for 2010 was about 37 years old. State demographer Lloyd Potter says baby boomers are behind the increase. Potter says Texas would likely look even older if it weren't for a large number of working-age newcomers who've migrated to Texas over the last decade.

The figures are part of the latest data released from the 2010 census. It comes after numbers released in February showed Hispanics accounting for two-thirds of the state's growth since 2000.
