Woman wanted in Mississippi arrested in Texas

JACKSON, MI Attorney Gen. Jim Hood announced Tuesday in a news release that 50-year-old Hazel Emmons was tracked down in Houston, Texas, where U.S. Marshals arrested her May 13. She was extradited to Mississippi May 20.

A 2009 indictment from Jones County said Emmons worked as a sitter for the victim. She's charged with using her credit card to charge approximately $20,000 without permission and using her personal information to buy a $25,000 vehicle.

It wasn't immediately clear if she had a lawyer.
