A fire lit up the night in southeast Harris County early this morning. Firefighters say an old double-wide mobile home went up in flames around 4am in a field near the South Sam Houston Tollway between Telephone Road and Pearland Parkway.

Firefighters arrived to find the structure totally involved with fire. The home was empty but filled with trash. Firefighters had to call pumper trucks to bring in water because there were no hydrants in the area.

The Houston Fire Department says the fire was tapped out within 30 minutes with 48 firefighters responding. The structure was a total loss.

Arson is investigating the cause of the blaze.
