According to authorities, a black male walked in the store and went directly to the clerk's cage area. The window that slides was apparently open instead of being closed. The armed suspect was able to stick the gun in the cage and demanded money. Then the suspect shot the clerk an unknown number of times.
There were at least three customers in the store at the time who witnessed the violent attack. They were not harmed.
The suspect took off running on foot and remains on the loose. It's unknown if the suspect got away with any money or items.
