Women involved in high speed chase appear in court

HOUSTON Mechell Murillo and Angela McKnight made brief court appearances. Murillo faces a felony evading arrest charge, while McKnight faces an evidence tampering charge. Officers arrested the pair after a high speed chase Tuesday that ended along the South Beltway.

The chase started after a shooting in southwest Houston. Police believe McKnight threw a gun out of the car during the chase.
